Aer locang and marking the studs,
posion the cleat at the desired height
(nong that the top of shelf will sit
1/2” above the top of cleat) and, using
a level, make marks in the holes and
underneath the cleat.

Locate the wall studs* and mark them
near the height that you want the
shelf. It’s crical that at least one
screw is in a stud. Use the provided
wall anchors where studs aren’t
available.**
* Wall studs can be located with an electric stud finder or, depending on the construcon, by lightly tapping the wall with a hammer unl a solid area is found. Studs are
typically 16” apart on center, as are the holes in the cleats.
** Pung screws in at least two studs will greatly increase shelf strength.

Slide the groove in the back of the
shelf over the cleat and push down into
the shelf slides securely in place. Use
your hands or a rubber mallet to tap it
down unl it’s ght against the wall.

Once the shelf locaon is marked,
screw the including wood screws
ghtly into the studs unl the back of
the cleat is flush against the wall.
Pre-drill the holes and/or use a drill for
the screws if possible.
