D. Uncheck the Enable SNMP checkbox.
E. Press Submit.
Configure Remote System Logging
The 4300T can be configured to log system messages to an external syslog server.
A. Select the Enable Remote System Logging checkbox.
B. Enter the IP address of the Remote Syslog Host.
By default messages are sent to the remote host on port 514. This port can
be changed by using the syntax ADDRESS:PORT.
C. Press Submit.
Disable Remote System Logging
A. Select System.
B. Select System Overview.
C. Select Services Configuration.
D. Uncheck the Enable Remote System Logging checkbox.
E. Press Submit.
Configure a local Hostname
A locally configured hostname is useful for remote management. This name can
appear as the identifier string for the 4300T on a system management console.
A. Enter a host name in the field provided.
Enable Mean Opinion Scoring (MOS)
The 4300T produces useful statistics on a per call basis that can be written to syslog.
These include MOS, jitter, latency, packet loss and much more.
A. Select System.
B. Select System Overview.
C. Select Services Configuration.
D. Select Enable MOS.
Set MOS Threshold
You can define a minimum MOS value in the 4300T such that a message will be sent
to syslog when the measured MOS value drops below the minimum. This is useful
when for monitoring a particular location for call quality problems and enables pro-
active resolution of problems that negatively affect call quality.
A. Select System.
B. Select System Overview.
C. Select Services Configuration.
D. Enter the minimum MOS threshold in the Set MOS threshold field.
E. Press Submit
