Issue Possible Cause Solution
Unit goes through the ice
making process, but no ice is
produced, or ice cubes are very
thin and small.
The room temperature or water
may be too hot. The unit is
designed to work in a room that
is above 50°F and below 90°F
If the unit is run in a room that
is particularly warm such as
a sunroom or laundry room,
please move the unit to a cooler
room and try again.
The fan may not be turning on
to cool down the condenser
coils.

The “Add Water” light is on even
though the unit is full of water.
The water lter may be clogged Use a brush with plastic bristles
to clean the lter at the bottom
of the water reservoir.
The type of water may not have
enough impurities, i.e., distilled,
reverse osmosis [RO], puried,
etc.
Add a pinch of salt to the water.
This will add minerals to the
water which will allow the unit to
detect the water.
The unit has a strange smell or
the ice being produced has an
unappealing taste
The unit may need to be
cleaned.

Maintenance section of this
manual.
Symbol illuminated Ice shovel cannot rotate. Check if any ice cubes are
blocking the ice shovel and
clear them. Otherwise, consult a
certied technician to check the
motor and microswitch.
Symbol ashes for 20
seconds
The ice full sensor on the edge
of the resevoir may not be
working properly.

Symbol is illumiated There is too much ice in the
basket.
Remove ice from the basket.
Symbol is ashing There is not enough water in the
reservoir.
Stop the ice maker, ll it with
water, and then restart it.
