Do not use the unit for industrial or commercial use. Any other use may invalidate the warranty. Please review the ratings label located on the rear panel of the unit for electrical and other technical data related to this unit. The unit must be used in a properly grounded wall outlet.

First-Time Operating Instructions Before use, make sure all packaging labels and materials are removed from the unit. Be sure to keep track of all included parts and pieces before discarding the packaging materials. It is advised that you keep the original box and packaging materials in case you ever need to move or ship the appliance in the future. Let the unit stand for at least 24 hours before you use it; this allows the cooling components time to settle from transit.
Parts Identification ! Note: Gather the model and serial number from the product label and write them down on the previous page before installing the ice maker.
Installation The ice maker should be installed in accordance with local electrical code requirements. The ice maker should also be placed in a location that is strong enough to support its total weight, keeping in mind that it will weigh substantially more when fully loaded with water and ice than when empty. Before you plug the ice maker into a power supply, be sure to let it stand upright for at least 24 hours to allow the compressor’s oils to settle.
Electrical Requirements ! ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD! • Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. • Never remove the grounding prong from the plug. • Never use an adapter to bypass the grounding prong. • DO NOT use an extension cord. • Failure to follow these instructions can result in fire, electrical shock, or death.
Operation Installation Checklist before Operation 1. Have all packing materials and tape been removed from the interior and exterior of the ice maker? 2. Have the installation instructions been followed, including connecting the machine to electricity? And has proper grounding been installed for the ice maker? 3. Control Panel Operation ! Press to turn the unit on or off. Press to add 1 to 6 minutes to ice making time. Increases ice thickness. Press to subtract 1 to 6 minutes from ice making time. Decreases ice thickness.
Timer Function and Ice Thickness Adjustment The Ice Making Timer 1 displays a countdown when the ice maker has detected the right conditions required to finish forming the current batch of ice cubes. This display will remain blank until the proper conditions are met and the unit begins its countdown. At this point, the display shows the number of minutes remaining for the ice to harvest into the storage basket.
Normal Sounds The ice maker may make sounds during operation. Most of the new sounds are normal. Hard surfaces like the floor, walls can make the sounds seem louder than they actually are. The following describes the kinds of sounds that you might hear and what may be making them. • Rattling noises may be produced from the flow of the refrigerant. • The compressor may make a pulsating or high-pitched sound. • The compressor may also produce a low tone humming sound.
Cleaning and Maintenance Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure efficiency, top performance, and long life. Never use a solvent-based cleaning agent. These cleaners may transmit taste to the ice cubes, or damage and discolor the interior. You should unplug the unit before cleaning the exterior and interior. Routine maintenance: 1. Take out the ice basket. 2. Add a mild cleaning solution mixture to the water reservoir. Use a 10:1 ratio of water to either white vinegar or lemon juice. 3.
Routine Cleaning Ensure that you thoroughly clean each attached and removable part so your ice maker will be fully clean and ready for use. Water Pipe: The water pipe is detachable, so you can remove it, clean with soap, and run clean, warm water through the pipe. Stainless Steel Casing: Clean the outside of the ice maker with a mild detergent and warm water. Do not put the ice maker in the dishwasher, as it is not dishwasher-safe.
Troubleshooting Before Calling for Help: If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, read through the “Operation” section of this manual first. If the problem persists, check the Troubleshooting Guide below and on the following page. The problem may be something that can easily be solved or explained. Issue No Power Power is on but the unit does respond to the control panel. Possible Cause The ice maker is unplugged. The ice maker power switch is OFF. Solution Plug the ice maker in. Press the power button.
Issue Water is leaking out the unit. Solution Make sure the drain plug is firmly installed. An extra drain plug is included with the unit.
