A TROUBLESHOOTING
DIAGNOSING SWITCH INDICATORS
This switch can be easily monitored through panel indicators to identify
problems. The table below describes common problems you may encounter and
possible solutions.

Symptom Possible Cause Action
Power Module LED is off
-48 VDC or AC
Power outlet, power
cord, or power
module may be
defective.
If using a DC power conversion
module, check the connections
between the switch and the external
DC power supply. If using an AC
power module, check connections
between the switch, the power cord,
and the wall outlet.
Contact your dealer for assistance.
Power Module LED is off
+12 VDC
Power module may
be defective.
Internal power supply has failed.
Contact your local dealer for
assistance.
Status LED is off Boot-up diagnostic
program has
detected a problem.
Power cycle the switch to try and
clear the condition.
If the condition does not clear,
contact your local dealer for
assistance.
Link LED is Off Network cable or
Ethernet device
attached to this port
may be defective.
Verify that the switch and attached
device are powered on.
Be sure the cable is plugged into
both the switch and corresponding
device.
Verify that the proper cable type is
used and its length does not exceed
specified limits.
Check the adapter on the attached
device and cable connections for
possible defects. Replace the
defective adapter or cable if
necessary.
