Open Shortest Path First (OSPFv2)
– 1777 –
passive-interface This command suppresses OSPF routing traffic on the specified interface.
Use the no form to allow routing traffic to be sent and received on the
specified interface.
SYNTAX
[no] passive-interface vlan vlan-id [ip-address]
vlan-id - VLAN ID. (Range: 1-4094)
ip-address - An IPv4 address configured on this interface.

COMMAND USAGE
You can configure an OSPF interface as passive to prevent OSPF routing
traffic from exiting or entering that interface. No OSPF adjacency can be
formed if one of the interfaces involved is set to passive mode. The
specified interface will appear as a stub in the OSPF domain. Also, if you
configure an OSPF interface as passive where an adjacency already exists,
the adjacency will drop almost immediately.

Display Information
show ip ospf This command shows basic information about the routing configuration.
SYNTAX
show ip ospf [process-id]
process-id - The ID of the router process for which information will
be displayed. (Range: 1-65535)

Console#show ip ospf
Routing Process "ospf 1" with ID 192.168.1.3
Process uptime is 20 minutes
Conforms to RFC2328, and RFC1583Compatibility flag is disabled
Supports only single TOS(TOS0) routes
SPF schedule delay 5 secs, Hold time between two SPFs 10 secs
Refresh timer 10 secs
