Configuring PIMv6 for IPv6

To display settings for an RP candidate:
1. Click Routing Protocol, PIM6, SM.
2. Select RP Candidate from the Step list.
3. Select Show from the Action list.
4. Select an interface from the VLAN list.

Displaying the
PIM6 BSR Router
Use the Routing Protocol > PIM6 > SM (Show Information – Show BSR Router) page
to display Information about the bootstrap router (BSR).
Parameters
These parameters are displayed:
IP Address – IP address of interface configured as the BSR.
Uptime – The time this BSR has been up and running.
Priority – Priority value used by this BSR candidate.
Hash Mask Length – The number of significant bits used in the multicast
group comparison mask by this BSR candidate.
Expire – The time before the BSR is declared down.
Role – Candidate or non-candidate BSR.
State

– Operation state of BSR includes:
No information – No information is stored for this device.
Accept Any The router does not know of an active BSR, and will accept the
first bootstrap message it sees as giving the new BSR's identity and the RP-
set.
Accept Preferred – The router knows the identity of the current BSR, and is
using the RP-set provided by that BSR. Only bootstrap messages from that
