DHCPv4 Snooping

Circuit ID – Specifies DHCP Option 82 circuit ID suboption information.
Mode
VLAN-Unit-Port - The string “VLAN-Unit-Port.” (Default: This is the
default setting.)
string - An arbitrary string inserted into the circuit identifier field.
(Range: 1-32 characters)
TR101 - The remote node ID generated by the switch is based on TR-
101 syntax (R-124, Access_Node_ID).
IP Address - Specifies the switchs IP address as the node
identifier.
System Name - Specifies the system name as the node
identifier.
Value – An arbitrary string inserted into the circuit identifier field.
(Range: 1-32 characters)
TR101 VLAN Field – Adds “:VLAN” in TR101 field for untagged packets.
Vlan Flooding Configures the interface to forward DHCP packets when
DHCP snooping is disabled on the VLAN. When DHCP snooping is enabled
on a VLAN, the port will forward DHCP packets to a trusted interface. When
DHCP snooping is disabled on a VLAN, the port will block DHCP packets
when VLAN flooding is disabled and forward packets when VLAN flooding
is enabled.
Web Interface
To configure global settings for DHCP Snooping:
1. Click IP Service, DHCP, Snooping.
2. Select Configure Interface from the Step list.
3. Set any ports within the local network or firewall to trusted.
4. Specify the mode used for sending circuit ID information, and an arbitrary
string if required.
5. Click Apply
