Interface Configuration
– 1001
media-type This command forces the transceiver mode to use for SFP ports. Use the
no form to restore the default mode.

media-type sfp-forced {1000sfp | 100fx}
no media-type
1000sfp - Forces the port to use 1000BASE SFP mode
100fx - Forces the port to use 100BASE-FX mode

EXAMPLE
This forces the switch to use the built-in RJ-45 port for the combination
port 10.

negotiation This command enables auto-negotiation for a given interface. Use the no
form to disable auto-negotiation.

COMMAND USAGE
1000BASE-T does not support forced mode. Auto-negotiation should
always be used to establish a connection over any 1000BASE-T port or
trunk.
When auto-negotiation is enabled the switch will negotiate the best
settings for a link based on the capabilities command. When auto-
negotiation is disabled, you must manually specify the link attributes
with the speed-duplex and flowcontrol commands.
If auto-negotiation is disabled, auto-MDI/MDI-X pin signal configuration
will also be disabled for the RJ-45 ports.
