Command Usage
The IEEE standard does not define the maximum power of each PD class. The
following table is an example from Microsem's PoE IC implementation.
Example
Console(config)#power inline maximum allocation mode user unit 1
Console(config)#
power mainpower
maximum allocation
This command defines a power budget for the switch (i.e., the power available to all
switch ports). Use the no form to restore the default setting.
Syntax
power mainpower maximum allocation milliwatts unit
no power mainpower maximum allocation unit
milliwatts - The power budget for the switch.
(Range: 50000-65000 mW for ECS2100-10PE,
50000-125000 mW for ECS2100-10P,
50000-200000 mW for ECS2100-28P,
50000-370000 mW for ECS2100-28PP without external power supply,
50000-740000 mW for ECS2100-28PP with external power supply)
unit - Unit identifier. (Range: 1)
Default Setting
65000 mW for ECS2100-10PE
125000 mW for ECS2100-10P
200000 mW for ECS2100-28P
