show ssh server
Purpose Used to display the SSH server setting.
Syntax
show ssh server
Description This command allows users to display the current SSH server setting.
Parameters None.
Restrictions None.
Usage example:
To display the SSH server:
DGS-3400:4# show ssh server
Command: show ssh server
SSH Server Status : Disabled
SSH Max Session : 8
Connection timeout : 120
Authenticate failed attempts : 2
Rekey timeout : never
Listened Port Number : 22

config ssh user
Purpose Used to configure the SSH user.
Syntax
config ssh user <username> authmode [hostbased [hostname
<domain_name> | hostname_IP <domain_name> <ipaddr>] |
password | publickey]
Description This command allows users to configure the SSH user
authentication method.
Parameters <username> - Enter a username of no more than 15 characters to
identify the SSH user.
authmode – Specifies the authentication mode of the SSH user
wishing to log on to the Switch. The administrator may choose
between:
hostbased – This parameter should be chosen to use a remote SSH
server for authentication purposes. Choosing this parameter requires
the user to input the following information to identify the SSH user.
hostname <domain_name> - Enter an alphanumeric string of up to
32 characters identifying the remote SSH user.
hostname_IP <domain_name> <ipaddr> - Enter the hostname and
the corresponding IP address of the SSH user.
password – This parameter should be to use an administrator
defined password for authentication. Upon entry of this command,
the Switch will prompt the user for a password, and then to retype
the password for confirmation.
