3. In the list of components used by this connection on the General tab, select
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click the Properties button.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, click to select Use the
following IP address. Then type your intended IP address, Subnet mask, and
Default gateway in the provided text boxes
5. Click OK to save the changes.
To change the IP address of a Windows 2000 PC:
1. Click Start, Settings, then Network and Dial-up Connections.
2. For the IP address you want to change, right-click the network connection icon,
and then click Properties.
3. In the list of components used by this connection on General tab, select Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click the Properties button.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, click to select Use the
following IP address. Then type your intended IP address, Subnet mask, and
Default gateway in the provided text boxes.
5. Click OK to save the changes.
Note: For users of other operating systems, refer to your system documentation for
information on changing the PC’s IP address.
