4. Read Temp
Release ON button.
Remove from head.
Read value on probe and monitor.
5. Return scanner back to cradle (or when not in use)
Lay the temp scanner probe into the cradle‘s fingers (probe).
Gently lay the temp scanner down into the bottom of the cradle.
The temp scanner may be gently pushed into the cradle until the retaining clips are
engaged around the body of the temp scanner.
How to Improve Accuracy of Infant Measurements
Preferred site:
The preferred site is the temporal artery area.
Unless visibly diaphoretic, one measurement here is typically all that is required.
Alternate site:
If the temporal artery is covered, then the area behind the ear, if exposed, can be an alternate
site.
