7 Never drop or insert any object into any opening, unless stated in this manual.
8 If the thermometer is not used regularly, remove the battery to prevent possible
damage due to chemical leakage.
9 Disposal of used TAT scanner must be performed in accordance with current medical
practices or local regulations regarding disposal of infectious, biological medical
waste.
10 Follow the battery manufacturer‟s recommendations or the hospital policy for the
disposal of used batteries.

■ To Scan: Depress the ON button. The thermometer will continually scan for the highest
temperature (peak) as long as the ON button is depressed.
