Chapter 15 Monitoring TEMP
Before measurement, please click Menu > Module Switch > select the Unit (℃ or℉) for
TEMP measurement.
15.1 Internal Forehead TEMP Module
The device with forehead TEMP module takes a temperature at forehead.
WARNING
1 This thermometer converts the forehead temperature to display its „oral equivalent‟
(according to the result of the clinical evaluation to get the offset value). The
thermometer is adjusted to display an oral temperature equivalent.
2 Keep the sensor window clean, dry, and undamaged at times to ensure accurate
measurements.
3 Do not autoclave.
4 Keep the unit dry and away from any liquids and direct sunlight.
5 Verification of the temperature module is necessary as frequently as dictated by
your Hospital Procedures Policy. When you need to calibrate the temperature
measurement, please contact the manufacturer.
6 The thermometer has been designed for practical use. It‟s not meant to replace a
visit to the doctor. Remember to compare the measurement result to the regular
temperature of the patient. Please consult with doctor if you have health concerns.
7 The operating temperature range of this module is 10 C ~ +40 C (50 ℉~104 ℉).
15.1.1 Measuring Procedure
Step 1
Always make sure the sensor is clean without any damage and the forehead is clean.
1. After each measurement, use alcohol swabs or soft cotton moistened with 70% alcohol to
clean the sensor.
2. Allow the sensor to fully dry for at least 1 minute.
Step 2
Allow the sensor within 1 cm from the central forehead and press the measurement button for one
second until you hear a long beep sound to get the forehead measurement.
