5.6.1. Pre-3D
The Pre-3D mode supports defining the 3D/4D acquisition location and settings.
Figure 5-2 shows an example of the pre-3D image. The ROI (Region of Interest) indicates the
portion of the image that will be used for 3D/4D. The position/size of the ROI can be adjusted
using the trackpad and Set key. Also note that there is a horizontal line going across the ROI near
the top and it can be adjusted to a curved line upwards and downwards by using the trackpad.
This is the clip plane. The initial volume rendering will show everything below this line.

The touch screen controls in pre 3D interface:

Description
Image quality
Adjusts the trade-off between speed and quality of the
acquisition. Settings include High (quality), Medium, and
Fast.
Angle
Adjusts the angle of the volume acquisition. Upward presses
increment the angle. Downward presses decrement the
angle. Angle range is from 5ºto 70º in increments of 5º.
Baby Spine/
Baby Face
These two radio buttons determine if the acquisition is
optimized for looking at a Baby Spine (Maximum Intensity
Projection), or a Baby Face (Surface Render). Thresh (only
in surface render mode), bright and contrast will be adjusted
