Manual econ sens3 Version 3.0
If the interface of the sens3 is activated as input, the instrument counts the pulses applied to the input.
The pulses can be both voltage-controlled (active) as well as current-controlled (passive).
Active pulse (voltage-controlled)
The input is controlled by a voltage source. The counter increments on an active high input signal.
Passive pulse (current-controlled)
The sens3 applies a current supply to the input. This can be set to 1 mA, 2 mA, 5 mA, 10 mA, or 20
mA. The counter increments on an active low input signal. For this, an external switch can be
connected. In the opened state, no current flows and the counter is incremented.
Input signal
For a digital input the voltage is measured on the input contact. A “high level” is present if the voltage
is over 2.5 V. A “low level” is detected on the input if the voltage falls below 1.5 V. For voltage between
1.5 V and 2.5 V, the status of the input does not change.
