Safety regulations
Use of this unit assumes that the user observes the conventional safety
regulations and has read the certificate in order to eliminate faulty operation
of the unit.
The following safety regulations must also be complied with:
• Do not open the device inside the Ex-area
• Do not open the I/O port cover inside the Ex-area.
• The batteries may only be exchanged outside the Ex-area
• The battery may only be charged outside the Ex-area
• Before entering the Ex-area the I/O port cover must be closed
• The device must be protected against strong impacts
• The device must be protected against high electrostatic charge generating
processes
• In hazardous areas including IIC gases it is only allowed to clean the unit
and applied accessory with damp cloth
• Only those accessories approved by ecom instruments GmbH may be used
