Modifications:
The explosion-proof temperature-measuring device type Ex-MX2 or Ex-MX4 BT may be produced
and operated in the future in accordance with the test documents listed below.
The modifications concern the safety fuses used and a change in the layout of the display board.
The electrical data and all other details are deemed unchanged for this amendment.
These modifications meet the requirements of the following norms:
EN 50 014:1997 +A1+A2 EN 50 020:2002

(17) Special conditions
The following “special conditions” remain unchanged
The battery may only be changed outside the potentially explosive area.
Within the potentially explosive area, the temperature-measuring device may only be operated in its
leather pouch.
The following applies in addition for the measuring of temperatures in zone 0:
The Ex-MX2 temperature-measuring device may not itself be brought into zone 0.
The carrying strap of the device with the leather pouch must be fastened to the operator’s belt or
a belt loop in such a way that a safety distance of ≥ 50 cm from the boundary area
of zone 0 is obser-
ved when the device is hanging freely on the carrying strap.
Only the manufacturer‘s carrying strap may be used.
