Sprint Direct Connect 38
Follow the instructions below to answer a Direct Connect call:
1. Press the speaker button to either enable or disable the Direct Connect speakerphone
feature.
 If you enable the Direct Connect speakerphone
through the speakerphone on the front of the phone.
 If you disable the Direct Connect speakerphone, you will only hear the calle
through the earpiece.
2. Press the DC button, to accept the call.
3. When the caller has finished speaking, you will hear a tone.
4. Press and hold the DC button and wait for a tone to sound and a message (Me) to
appear onscreen. Continue the Direct Connect call as described previously.
5. Press the Red button (End call button) or select Options > End call to disconnect.
To reject a Direct Connect call, press the Red button (End call button).
End a Direct Connect Call
You can end a Direct Connect call using one of the following ways:
 The call will automatically end after several seconds if neither party presses the DC
button.
 or 
Press the Red button (End call button) or select Options > End call to disconnect.
Call Alerts
Call Alerts let you notify others that you want to communicate with them using Direct Connect.
When a user receives a Call Alert, the phone sounds a tone and displays your name or Direct
Connect number.
Send Call Alerts
Follow the instructions below to send Direct Connect alerts to individual Direct Connect
contacts.
1. Select Menu (left selection key) > Contacts > All Contacts.
2. Highlight a contact and select Options (left selection key) > select one of the following
options.
 Send Alert: Sends an alert.
