2. Press and release the Direct Connect button (DC button) on the left side of your
phone.
 Pressing and  
emits an incoming tone and displays your name or number. If available, he or she
can choose to respond and begin the conversation.
 You can also hold the button and speak after you first press and hear the tone. In


3. After the recipient accepts your call:
 Wait for Push to Talk to appear onscreen.
 Press and hold the DC button.
 Me to appear onscreen before you begin talking.
4. Release the DC button to listen.
5. Press the Red button (End call button) or select Options > End call to disconnect.
Note: All Direct Connect calls end automatically if there is no activity on the call for several
seconds.
Make a Direct Connect Call from Contacts
Follow the instructions below to make Direct Connect calls to the Direct Connect numbers
stored in your Contacts.
1. From standby mode, select Menu (left selection key) > Contacts > All contacts and
highlight the Direct Connect contact.
2. To call the number, press and release the DC button.
3. Continue the Direct Connect call as described previously
4. Press the Red button (End call button) or select Options > End call to disconnect.
Make a Direct Connect Call from History
Follow the instructions below to make Direct Connect calls to the Direct Connect numbers
present in your call history.
1. Press Green button (Call button) or select Menu (left selection key) > History and
highlight the Direct Connect number.
