transmit the collected data to the Ecolab Proprietary Wireless Network, where it will ultimately be sent to an
offsite server for processing and archiving. Similarly, the “bed beacon” may be attached to stretchers, cribs,
infusion chairs, etc.: anywhere you wish to establish the requirement for hand hygiene before and after patient
contact. For simplicity, the examples of beds and stretchers will be used in this document, but the principals may
be applied to installation around other patient-centered areas.
