Precautions for safe handling
Additional hazards when processed: None known.
Precautions for safe handling: Handle with care to avoid breakage. Use only according
to label directions.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage conditions: Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store in correctly
labeled containers.
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizers. Storage temperature : ≤ 48.9 °C (<120 °F) (To
prevent softening of the firelog. Softened product could break during handling).
Prohibitions on mixed storage: Keep away from incompatible materials.
Specific end use(s)
Firelogs: For use in indoor, open-hearth wood burning fireplaces; May also be used in
outdoor fireplaces & fire pits in well-ventilated areas (read instructions & cautions on
package); Not for use in wood stoves
Firestarters: Used to start wood fires in any wood burning appliance or campfire (read
instructions & cautions on package)
Section 8: Exposure controls / personal protection
Appropriate engineering controls: During combustion: either local exhaust or general
room ventilation is usually required. No special work practices are needed beyond the
above recommendations under anticipated conditions of normal use.
Personal protective equipment: None under normal use.
Consumer exposure controls: Do not use a poker or otherwise disturb a burning firelog
in any way. Always close wire mesh protective fire screen when burning a firelog. Never
leave any firelog or fire or wood fire unattended when in use. Keep children and
animals away from fireplaces when burning firelog or firewood. Read and follow the
firelog or firestarter label instructions.
