How to operate the tuner with an optional XM
satellite radio tuner connected (U.S.A./CANADA
only)
About
XM
satellite radio
If the optional
XM
satellite radio tuner unit is
connected, satellite radio broadcasts
can
be
received.
With
XM
satellite radio, over 170 channels are
available including music, sports, news, and
entertainment programs.
The channel
can
be
selected from categories
such
as
ROCK and DANCE, or
by
selecting
individual channels manually.
Reception of
XM
satellite radio is fee based; you
have to subscribe to
it.
It is possible
to
subscribe through the
XM
radio
website.

The main unit will accept up to 24 stations
in memory.

Switch
to
the
XM
satellite radio
mode.

Selecting a channel
1
Press the [RTN]
button
for
less
than one second
to
switch
to
the
desired
XM
band.
The radio bands will switch from XM1
~
XM2
~
XM3
~
XM4 in order each
time
the button is pressed.
I!IPress the [SELECT] (Right/Left)
II
button
to
tune
to
a channel.
Right:
Selects a higher channel.
Left:
Selects a lower channel.
Press the [SELECT] (Right/Left)
button
for
more than one second
to
start an automatic channel
search.
Reception is enabled for all channels
within the currently selected category.
(Refer to page 97 for details on
"Category selection".)
Right:
Starts searching for higher channels.
Left:
Starts searching for lower channels.
