4. Starting, pausing and restarting route guidance
Starting route guidance
When the route search is complete, the all-route display screen appears. Touch on
the all-route display screen to start route guidance. Route guidance can be paused and
restarted.
Touch in the all-route
display screen.
● Route guidance is started.
● If is pressed after the all-route
map appears, or you do not operate
the device for at least 3 seconds after
you start driving, route guidance will
automatically start.
Demonstration
Once the route search is complete, you can watch a demonstration before starting route
guidance.
Touch and hold for at least
3 seconds.
Press (or / )
while the demonstration is in
progress.
● The demonstration stops.
● If you start driving while the
demonstration is in progress, the
demonstration will stop and route
guidance will start.

●The demonstration (demo) can be viewed in the all-route map screen, displayed
after both destination settings and route search have been completed (before
route guidance). However, the demonstration is not available while driving.
●To increase the speed of the demonstration, make the reduction scale greater.
(Refer to the Section "Switching the map reduction scale" on page 32)
●To decrease the speed of the demonstration, make the reduction scale smaller.
