8. MOTORIZED INSTALLATION RELATED
Problem Possible cause What to do?
1. I cannot select a
specific satellite.
■ The required satellite
is located outside the
selected East or
West limit.
■ If physically possible,
mind dish damage,
revise the limit
setting.
■ Select another
satellite.
2. The motor reacts
unpredictable which
results in incorrect
positioning of the
dish.
■ The cables used are
worn, damaged or
corroded.
■ Inspect the cable for
possible damage and
install new cable as
required.
■ The cable is
incorrectly finished or
not sufficiently
shielded.
■ Use sufficiently
shielded and
correctly finished
cables.
3. The motor runs at
different speeds.
■ The speed depends
on the receiver
output voltage.
13V runs slow,
18V runs faster.
■ Select a transponder
that has horizontal
polarity (18V).
9. SMARTCARD RELATED
Problem Possible cause What to do?
1. I cannot view or
listen to a
scrambled channel.
■ The CI-module/
smartcard is not valid
for the service.
■ Insert a valid
CI-module/smartcard
correctly.
■ Contact your service
provider.
■ The CI-module/
smartcard is not
correctly inserted.
■ Insert a valid
CI-module/smartcard
correctly.
■ The EchoNAV
software lost
communication with
the CI-module/
smartcard.
■ Press the EXIT key
directly followed by
the slot number.
■ Press the On/
Standby key two
times.
