2. Align holes in shield (A) and

shield plate (B) to bottom of

gear case flange. Install three

(3) screws.

3. Place line head plate (C) on

power take off shaft (D).

4. Align notch in edge of shield

and hole in line head plate with

notch in edge of gear housing

and insert a locking tool (E).

5. Thread line head (F) onto

power take off shaft by turning it

counterclockwise until head is

tight against line head plate (C).

6. Remove locking tool (E).

To Advance Trimmer Line

See Maintenance Section for nylon line replacement.

Note: To advance trimmer line, tap trimmer head against the ground

while the head is turning at normal operating speed.

Balance and Adjust Unit

1. Loosen harness clamp screw.

2. Put on harness and attach unit to harness.
