Exhaust System
Spark Arrestor Screen
Level 2.
Carbon deposits in muffler will cause a drop in engine output and
overheating. Spark arrestor screen must be checked periodically.
1. Disconnect spark plug lead
from spark plug.
2. Remove engine cover.
3. Remove spark arrestor screen
(C) from muffler. Replace
screen if plugged with carbon
deposits.
Note: When cleaning carbon
deposits, be careful not to
damage the catalytic
element inside muffler.
4. Install spark arrestor screen.
5. Install engine cover.
6. Connect spark plug lead.
