7. Keep chain properly tensioned
at all times.
(A) - Correct cold tension. The
side link contacts the guide bar.
(B) - Chain needs tensioning.
(C) - Correct warm tension. A
distance of 1/8 in. (3 mm)
between side link and guide bar
at bottom
Note: All chains require
frequent adjustment.
8. Install battery.
Temperature Information
(1)
Assumes the battery is just off the charger or stored at the temperature
range noted for charger usage (39° F (4°C)) - 104°F (40°C)).
(2)
Hot batteries in high ambient temperatures require longer charge times.
(3)
To maximize life of batteries being stored more than 3 months, ECHO
recommends batteries being stored at 3 green lights on the battery capacity
indicator (BCI) and at room temperature.
