Keep a Firm Grip • To prevent from dropping the unit, hold the handle in one hand, with thumb and fingers encircling the handle. Keep a Solid Stance • Maintain footing and balance at all times. Do not stand on slippery, uneven or unstable surfaces. Do not work in odd positions or on ladders. Do not over reach.

Before discarding a damaged or worn out Lithium-ion battery, contact your local waste disposal agency, or the local Environmental Protection Agency for information and specific instructions. Take the batteries to a local recycling and/or disposal center, certified for Lithium-ion disposal. If the battery cracks or breaks, with or without leaks, do not recharge it and do not use.

Install flex pipe to elbow pipe (11) on blower. 11 Installing the Trigger Handle 12 1. 2. 3. 4. 18 Slide trigger handle (12) onto swivel pipe (13) and loosely attach tightening knob (14). Attach swivel pipe to flex pipe. Tighten both hose clamps. Insert throttle cable into wire holder clips, and secure clips. Position trigger handle for comfortable operation and tighten knob.
DPB-5800T ASSEMBLY Installing the Blower Tubes 1. 2. Align grooves (a) in main pipe (15) with tabs (b) on swivel pipe. Assemble main pipe onto swivel pipe until you feel light resistance. Hold swivel pipe and turn main pipe clockwise, engaging positive locking channels, until connection is firm. Do not force connection. Assemble concentrator nozzle (16) to main pipe as in step 1.

Keep charger and battery away from damp conditions and all liquids. Do not operate the charger on an easily combustible surface (e.g. paper, textiles) or in an environment with a high risk of fire. Do not cover the charger. Covering the charger will prevent it from cooling.

Remove battery from charger, clear obstructions from contacts and reinstall battery into charger. DPB-5800T ASSEMBLY Installing and Removing the Batteries The blower will operate when the battery is installed. Make sure the blower is properly positioned to prevent loss of control and possible serious injury. See separate Operator's Manual Packaged with the Battery. The battery comes partially charged from the factory and needs to be fully charged before first use. Pull the ends of the straps down to tighten the harness. Connect the horizontal chest strap. Pull the end of the chest strap to tighten.
DPB-5800T 5. Lift the tabs of the adjusters to loosen the straps. 6. Lock the quick-release fastener by pushing it together. 7. Squeeze the hooks to open the quick-release fastener.
OPERATING BLOWER DPB-5800T OPERATING BLOWER Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection and a face filter mask or serious personal injury may result. Do not point the blower pipe in the direction of people or pets. Read the Safety Section carefully. To avoid damage to the unit due to over-revving, do not block blower pipe. 1. Trigger Switch Pull trigger switch to start machine and increase speed. Release trigger switch to reduce speed or turn machine off. 2.
DPB-5800T OPERATING BLOWER Note: Never use a higher speed setting than necessary to perform a task. Remember, the higher the engine speed, the louder the blower noise. 7. Minimize dust by using blower at lower speeds or dampen surface with water. Blower can be used to clean most surfaces when water conservation is desired. 8. Use the full blower pipe configuration when blowing. 9. After using blowers and other equipment, CLEAN UP! Dispose of debris in trash receptacles.
MAINTENANCE DPB-5800T MAINTENANCE Moving parts can amputate fingers or cause severe injuries. Keep hands, clothing and loose objects away from all openings. Always stop unit and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop before removing obstructions, clearing debris, or servicing unit. Allow unit to cool before performing service. Wear gloves to protect hands from sharp edges and hot surfaces. Operating a poorly maintained unit can result in serious injuries to operator or bystanders.

TROUBLESHOOTING DPB-5800T Cleaning Battery and Battery Compartment The machine must be dry. Humidity can cause risks of elestrical shocks. 1. 2. 3. Clear the unwanted material out of the air vent with a vacuum cleaner. Do not spray the air vent or put the air vent in solvents. Clean the battery compartment (8) and the plastic components with a moist and soft cloth. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Cause The batteries are not installed tightly.
DPB-5800T STORAGE STORAGE Storage After Use When storing the product for long periods of time, ensure that the following preparations for storage are carried out. Blower Do not store your unit without performing protective storage maintenance which includes the following: 1. Clean the unit before storage. 2. Remove battery from blower. 3. Remove accumulation of dirt and debris from exterior of unit. 4. Tighten all screws and nuts. 5. Replace the damaged parts. 6. Cover battery compartment of blower. 7.
