• To reduce the risk of electrocution, never use near any electrical power
lines. Contact with or use near power lines may cause serious injury or
electric shock resulting in death.
• Always use two hands when operating the extended-reach pruner.
Hold the extended-reach pruner with both hands to avoid loss of
control.
• Always use head protection when operating the extended-reach
pruner overhead. Falling debris can result in serious personal injury.
General Safety Warnings and Instructions for the
following ECHO tool: Blower or DPAS unit

This section contains the prescribed general safety warnings and
instructions for handheld, motor-operated electric blowers contained in UL
1017. Additional important warnings and instructions are provided in
subsequent sections of this manual.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electric blower, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
1. Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when
used by or near children.
2. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's
recommended attachments.
3. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening
blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air
flow.
4. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from
openings and moving parts.
5. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
6. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
7. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as
gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
