- Once the unit has started, check for abnormal vibrations and sounds.
- Disconnect the battery:
- Do not touch high temperature or high voltage components while the product is running.
- Turn off the unit when checking or maintaining the product.
- Turn off the unit immediately if anything goes wrong.
- A ten meter radius is a danger zone.

Saw Chain Maintenance
Remove the battery before sharpening chain. Always wear
gloves when working on chain. Otherwise serious personal
injury may result.
The following factors will increase the risk of kickback:
◆ Top plate angle too large
◆ File diameter too small
◆ Depth gauge too large
Note: These angles are referred to as 80TXL. For chains of other
brands, follow manufacturers instructions.
Properly filed cutters are shown below.
A. Top plate angle 80TXL 25°
B. Top plate cutting angle 80TXL; 70°
C. Depth gauge 80TXL; 0.025 in
D. Parallel
