Guide Bar
Do not degrease brake drums and brake bands. After cleaning, apply
a thin oil between the brake drum and the brake band.
1. Clean before using. Use
a small screwdriver or
wire to clean the guide
bar groove (B). Clean
oil holes (C) with a wire.
2. Reverse the bar
periodically.
3. Check sprocket (D) and
clean the bar mount
area before installation
of the guide bar.
Replace either if worn.
Sprocket
1. A damaged sprocket
can cause premature
damage or wear to saw
chain.
2. Check sprocket when
you install new chain.
Replace if worn 0.5 mm
or more.
3. Check brake drum (E).
If it will not rotate by
hand, see your
authorized dealer for
repair.
