Move at least 3 m (10 ft.) from refueling location before starting the engine. Gasoline vapor is heavier than air, and can travel along the ground to nearby sources of ignition such as electrical motors, pilot lights, and hot or running engines.

CS-4910 ◆ OPERATION Do not let the tip of the bar touch anything while the engine is running. At cutting speed the chain is moving at a high rate of speed. Should the tip contact a limb or log while the chain is moving, the tip will be pushed upward with considerable force. This is known as kickback.
