CYLINDER FINS
• Check daily or before use.
• Clogged fins will result in poor engine cooling.
• Remove the air cleaner cover and the air filter,
and the spark plug lead.
• Remove the three bolts of the cylinder cover.
• Loosen the two mounting bolts of the cleaner
case.
• Lift the cylinder cover up to the cushion of the
cleaner case and pull it out.
• Remove dirt and dust from between fins to let
cooling air pass easily.
• Assemble the components in reverse order.
• Do not forget to fasten the two loose bolts of
the cleaner case.
MUFFLER SPARK ARRESTOR
• Remove the clutch cover and pull the front hand
guard backwards.
• Remove the spark arrester screen bolt and pull
out the screen from the silencer body.
• Clean carbon deposits from muffler components.
• Replace screen if it is cracked, or has holes
burned through.
• Assemble components in reverse order.
NOTICE
Carbon deposits in muffler will cause drop in
engine output. The spark arrestor screen must
be checked periodically.
AUTOMATIC OILER
• The discharge volume of the automatic oiler is
adjusted to 7 mL/min approximately at 7,000
r/min, prior to shipment from factory.
- To increase the delivery volume, turn the
adjusting screw counterclockwise.
When the screw touches stopper and stops,
this position indicates maximum discharge
volume. (13 mL/min at 7,000 r/min)
- Do not turn the adjusting screw beyond the
maximum or minimum limit of volume
adjustment.
