5. A: Correct Chain Tension
B: Incorrect Chain Tension
6. Tighten sprocket guard nut (B)
with the bar nose held up.
7. Pull the chain around the bar by hand. Loosen the adjustment if you
feel tight spots.
Tighten guide bar nut to 15-20 N•m (153 to 204 kgf•cm,
133-177 in•lbf). DO NOT over-tighten nut. Damage to saw can result.
8. Connect spark plug, assemble components in reverse order.
9. Keep chain properly tensioned at all times.
Note: All chains require frequent adjustments.
