ECHO DESKTOP AND OLDER SHARING FORMATS
Installing Echo Desktop replaces any Livescribe Desktop software that may be
installed on your computer. Existing notes and audio from Livescribe Desktop will
be preserved, and you can access them from Echo Desktop.
Files in the .pencast format can be imported into Echo Desktop, as described below.
HOW TO SHARE NOTES AND AUDIO
For sharing, you have two options. You can send your Echo notes/audio as a
Livescribe PDF to your computer's file system, and then share it as you would any
other file. Or you can launch your default email program from within Echo Desktop,
with the Livescribe PDF automatically attached.
Access the sharing menu as follows.
• ( Win ) Right-click on your selection. Then select FSend X to... menu.
• ( Mac ) Click the Share button, or Click the File menu.
1. Select what you want to share.
2. From the sharing menu, choose to send your selection to your Computer, or
to Email it.
3. From the Sharing Options window, choose to share your selection as Notes
and Audio (a pencast), Pages Only, or Audio Only.
4. Any selection you make can be sent as a Livescribe PDF. On Windows, you
can send pages as PNGs (Each selected page becomes a separate PNG).
Audio can be shared as an M4A file on Windows and Mac.
5. ( Win ) Click Continue, which opens the Name Your File dialog or launches
your default email program.
( Mac ) Share your selection as an Export to your computer or as an Email
attatchment.
