It may save you time and money. Pay particular attention to the Safety Instructions. Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious bodily injury or death.
DANGER! LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM MODELS ENGLISH SAFETY Liquid propane has an odorant added to aid in detecting a gas leak. Some people may not physically be able to smell or recognize this odorant. If you are unsure or unfamiliar with the smell of liquid propane, ask the gas supplier. Other conditions, such as “odorant fade”, which causes the odorant to diminish in intensity, can also hide or camouflage a gas leak. Always check with commercial leak detector or soapy water.
Leak Testing ENGLISH WARNING: Never use an open flame to test for gas leaks, as property damage, personal injury, or death could result. SAFETY The tankless water heater and its gas connections must be leak tested at normal operating pressures before it is placed in operation. • Turn on the gas to the tankless water heater from the recommended gas cylinder. • Use a commercial leak detector or soapy water solution to test for leaks at all connections and fittings.
