USERS MANUAL EBS METALDRIVE - STUDIO EDITION THANK YOU FOR PURCHASING THE EBS METALDRIVE - STUDIO EDITION PEDAL! The EBS MetalDrive is an ultra compact and robust box, capable of producing high gain distortion and many other useful mean ”tubeamp”, distorted sounds. The overdrive engine that makes this all possible is a simulation circuit in pure class A with a wide gain range, which emulates a classic vintage style preamp tube.
EBS METALDRIVE - STUDIO EDITION USERS MANUAL THE CONTROLS DIST OUTPUT DIST controls the amount of gain/distortion for the ”distortion engine”. The gain ranges from half clean up to very distorted sound in maximum position. OUTPUT Controls the output volume when the pedal is active. You can also use this control to boost your sound. TUBESIM- Activates the second tube simulator, which adds extra harmonics with added compression and slightly less high end attack.
USERS MANUAL EBS METALDRIVE - STUDIO EDITION POWER OPTIONS DC POWER ADAPTOR For environmental reasons, we recommend the use of a DC Power Supply, such as the EBS AD-9+. The EBS MetalDrive Studio Edition handles 9-12 V DC, and require a 2.1 mm pin center negative type of connector. BATTERY This pedal can run on battery (not included). To place a battery in the pedal follow these steps. 1) Remove the four screws holding the bottom plate. 2) Carefully remove the bottom plate.
EBS METALDRIVE - STUDIO EDITION USERS MANUAL HOW TO SET THE SOUND - USEFUL HINTS In order to obtain best possible operation from the EBS MetalDrive, check the hints below on how to improve and find your own personal sound. 1) Try using the MetalDrive pedal as one of the first pedals in your effects chain. This is because the gain stage will amplify every small noise from other pedals being used before the MetalDrive. 2) The MetalDrive is excellent for use in an effects loop.
USERS MANUAL EBS METALDRIVE - STUDIO EDITION SAMPLE SOUND SETTINGS The following examples below show a few of the many sonic possibilities of the EBS MetalDrive. MODERN METAL This is the fullrange distortion mode, useful for affecting the overall sound. This mode gives less low end with harder compression and gives the possibility to create fuzz-like sound when tweaking the Dist.
