f. Push park brake control in on tractor control
panel (see TM 9-2320-273-10 or TM 9-2320-
283-10).
Brake chamber pushrods should
retract to release brakes.
g.
Pull park brake control out on tractor control
panel (see TM 9-2320-273-10 or TM 9-2320-
283-10).
Brake chamber pushrods should
extend to apply brakes.
h. Note semitrailer brake action for signs of
grabbing, pulling to one side, or slow release.
Report any problem to unit maintenance
IMMEDIATELY.
i. With tractor moving straight ahead, check if
semitrailer wanders or pulls to one side, or if
there is any unusual vibration or noises. Report
any problem to unit maintenance IMMEDIATELY.
WARNING
Operator must be alert at all times for
leaking or malfunctioning equipment.
IMMEDIATELY stop all fuel handling
operations at first sign of leaks or mal-
functions. Corrective action must be
performed by qualified personnel be-
fore resuming any operations.
NOTE
It is normal for emergency valve and
vapor vent control levers to offer re-
sistance when pulled.
j. Check that emergency valve and vapor vent
control levers operate (see paragraph 2-2).
