General Safety Instructions:
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable and must
not be used near open flame. Use only in a
well-ventilated area.
Grounding connections must be made to
clean, unpainted surfaces.
NOTE
For location of all grounding studs (2), refer to paragraph 1-7.
a. REMOVAL
Remove locknut (3) grounding stud (2) and stat-washer (1). Discard locknut and starwasher.
b. CLEANING
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is
toxic and flammable. Always wear
protective goggles, face shield,
and gloves, and use only in a well-
ventilated area. Avoid contact with
skin, eyes, and clothes and DO
NOT breathe vapors. DO NOT use
near open flame or excessive heat.
The solvent’s flash point is
100°F-138°F (38°C-59°C). If you
become dizzy while using cleaning
solvent, immediately get fresh air
and medical help. If solvent con-
tacts eyes, immediately wash your
eyes with water and get medical
aid.
If grounding stud (2) is covered with
grease or dirt, clean with dry cleaning
solvent.
