General Safety instructions:
l Wear safety goggles and face shield when
performing leakage tests on ratio relay
valve.
l Ensure that air lines do not rub against
each other or any other surface when in-
stalled.
a. OPERATING TEST
(1)
If disconnected, connect tractor EMERGENCY and SERVICE air lines to semitrailer (see para-
graph 2-12). Fully pressurize semitrailer air system (see TM 9-2320-273-10 or TM 9-
2320-283-10).
NOTE
Damage to other parts of air system
may
cause
parking/emergency
brakes to not release with air fully
pressurized.
(2)
With air system fully pressurized,
check to see that parking/emer-
gency brakes are released. if not
released, ratio relay valve (3)
may be damaged.
