Why use the irrigation
pump panel?
The irrigation pump panel
was designed specifically for
agricultural applications requiring
submersible, progressive cavity,
or vertical hollow-shaft pumps.
Typically, these applications
may require basic pump motor
starting functions that are
integral to the design of the
irrigation pump panel.
Benets
•
Typically, enclosures are
mounted outdoors and
require Type 3R protection,
thus the standard offering
is a rugged 14-gauge steel
design Type 3R enclosure
•
For the most challenging
environmental conditions,
a 304-grade stainless steel
enclosure option is available
in Type 3R design; 304-grade
stainless steel offers an even
higher resistance to corrosion
than painted steel
•
Service entrance ratings
(SUSE) are standard for the
irrigation pump panel, allowing
installations directly off of the
utility service line
•
A door support mechanism
is included as standard for
convenience and safety during
installation and maintenance.
This will prevent the door
from closing unexpectedly
on service personnel
•
All irrigation pump panels
have a “bottom entry–
capable” option so as to
allow easy installation in
instances where power is
provided from underground
or along the ground. These
conductors are often difficult to
maneuver through the interior
of a traditional pump panel.
The irrigation pump panel
allows for landed terminals
in the bottom portion of the
enclosure, making installation
much easier
•
As these are commonly
mounted in an agricultural
setting, a rugged 14-gauge
Type 3R pole mounting option
is available. This is unique
to pump panel products and
can be formed to fit most
utility poles
•
The enclosure offers you the
ability to padlock. This can
provide an extra means of
protection from unwanted
operation or theft
•
The motor starting overloads
for the irrigation are designed
to meet Class 10 and/or
Class 20 overload trip settings
•
Rugged 30 mm HAND/
OFF/AUTO switch and start
pushbutton are standard
with each pump panel.
This allows for easy local
or remote operation of the
pump controller
Optional features
•
Backspin timer—Adjustable
from 0.2 seconds to 3 minutes.
Prevents restart until motor
and pump have stopped
•
Control transformer—
Available in all standard
primary and secondary
voltages. Includes two primary
and one secondary fuse
•
Lightning arrester—In many
field installations for pump
panels, lightning is a serious
threat. Eaton offers protection
to reduce control surges due
to lightning
•
Many irrigation applications
can benefit from the use of a
solid-state overload. The Eaton
solid-state overload has one of
the widest adjustment ranges
in the industry. This wide trip
range allows maximum
flexibility in selection and
applications of the irrigation
pump panel
