The water pressure switch is designed for the control of electrically driven water
pumps. The switch is diaphragm actuated and has contacts that open on rising pressure. The
switch is used to maintain a specified pressure range in a storage tank.
Low Pressure Cut-off — The pressure switch will shut down the pump if the pressure drops
to 10 PSI below starting pressure. This provides additional pump protection due to lack of
water in the well.
Pulsation Plug — A pulsation plug reduces water surges to the switch that would cause the
switch to go on and off rapidly with every pulse it received. This prevents your pump from
excessive on and off cycling which shortens the pump motor life.
