2 Basic Configuration – Making Connections
Fibre Channel Interface
The ERQ12-F2R2 has dual 2 Gbit fibre channel interfaces. Each interface can be used with optical
or copper transceivers and cables. Follow these instructions to make optical connections.
1 Insert fibre cable into the ERQ12-F2R2 host port 1 (primary fibre channel) at the rear of
the disk array system.
Fibre Channel Daisy Chaining
Four-port models can be daisy chained as shown in the following diagram.
