DSH Downspout Hanger Kit
Installation instructions
DESCRIPTION
The DSH Downspout Hanger Kit is the recommended method of
providing support and abrasion protection for deicing heater cable
in roof gutter downspouts. This kit contains materials for two com-
plete downspout hangers. The DSH Downspout Hanger Kit may be
used with all versions of Easy Heat’s roof and gutter deicing cables,
as well as those made by other manufacturers.

TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO
THE HEATER CABLE.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
1. Determine the location of the downspout hanger to maximize
the support function and reduce stress or abrasion points at
the gutter edges.
2. Place one piece of protective wrap around both heater
cable(s).
3. Place the cables and wrap between a pair of hanger clamp
sections. Ensure cables are in the clamp wire channels and
covered by wrap. See the cross section view in Figure 2.

4. Insert screw through the hanger wire eyelet and then through
the hanger clamp sections; secure with nut.
5. Tighten the nuts and screws to ensure a snug fit. Do not
overtighten; cable damage may result.
6. Fasten hanger wire with a nail, screw or other means
appropriate for the mounting surface.
