Itisrecommendedthattheairflowpatternintheroombecomescircular.Thisis
accomplishedbymountingtheheatertoonesideoftheroom,aspertheillustration,in
ordertocreateacircularflowaroundtheroom.
Wheremultipleunitsareinstalledinlargerrooms,thiscircularpatterncanbe
maintainedbypositioningtheunitstocomplementtheairflows.Thisisaccomplished
bypositioningtheminoppositecornersoftheroom.
Operating Instructions
TheunitsareselfǦregulating.TemperatureiscontrolledviaalowǦvoltagethermostat
locatedpreferablyontheoppositewallfromtheheatingunit.Theheaterfanswillturn
onwhenthepowertotheinfraredheatingelementsturnon.Aftertheheating
elementshavecomeuptofulltemperature,athirdfanwillturnontoincreasethe
airflowintotheroom.Thisthirdfanwillremainrunningevenaftertheheating
elementshavebeenshutdownbythethermostat,inordertodistributetheremaining
heatintheheatingelementsintotheroom.
Temperaturescanberegulatedfromacentralcontrol(soldseparately)ortheheating
unitscanalsobeindependentlyturnonorofffromaremotelocationviaacentralon/
offswitchforeachunit.TheswitchisconnectedbetweenthelowǦvoltagethermostat
controlandoneoftheleadwirestothethermostatfromthethermostatcontactonthe
heater.
Routinelyinspecttheairregistersontheinfraredunittomakesurethatthereisnodust
accumulation.Vacuumasyouwouldanyconventionalheatorairconditioningduct.
Itissuggestedthatanannualdustingoftheceramicplatesbeperformedinorderto
eliminateanyresidualaccumulationofdustduringthesummermonths.Otherthan
this,therearenomaintenancerequirementsinvolved.Inordertoaccomplishthis,the
frontplasticpanelmustberemovedbyremovingthefourscrewsandliftingupto
releasethepanelfromthetopclip.

MountingtheHeater
Theheatercomeswithtwosetsofmountingbrackets.Usingtheappropriate
setofbracketsforthemountingconditions,attachtheheaterunittothewall
preferably 6 ft. above the floor to eliminate obstructions to air flow.The
heater can be mounted lower ifpreferred.The higher location of the heater
alsoinsuresthatobstaclesintheroomsuchasfurniturewillnotencumberthe
circulation of theinfrared heat waves being generated from the heater.This
assures evenheat distribution and prevents coldǦpockets of air.The infrared
heatwillflowevenlyfromfloortoceiling sothelocationof theheateronthe
wallisnotpreǦemptedbynormalinǦwallheaterconsiderations.
