GRAYLINE
CONTROL
The GRAYLINE
function can be
used to outline
the bottom contour
which
might
otherwise
be hidden
beneath trees and
brush;
it can
also
give
clues to
the
composition
of the bottom. A hard bottom
re-
turns a
very strong signal
causing
a wide
gray
line. A
soft, muddy
or
weedy
bottom returns a weaker
signal
which is
emphasized
with a
narrow
gray
