SECTION V-REACTIVITY DATA
Stability: Stable
Materials to avoid: Strong oxidizers and acids.
Hazardous Decomposition: Burning can produce carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Carbon
monoxide is highly toxic if inhaled. Carbon dioxide in sufficient concentrations can act as an asphyxiant.
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.
SECTION VI-HEALTH HAZARD DATA
Routes of Exposure: Ingestion, Skin, Eyes, and Inhalation (minimal)
Skin Contact: Brief contact is not irritating. Prolonged contact, as from clothing wet with the material,
may cause mild irritation, experienced as discomfort, and seen as local redness.
Eye Conctact: Liquid may cause discomfort in the eye with slight excess redness and possibly swelling
of the conjunctiva. Solids may cause mechanical irritation of the eyelid and eye with possible corneal
damage.
Ingestion: No evidence of harmful effects from available information.
Effects of Repeated Overexposure: No adverse effects anticipated from available information.
Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: The physical and chemical properties of the material
suggests that overexposure is unlikely to aggravate existing medical conditions.
SECTION VII-FIRST AID PROCEDURES
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Give artificial respiration if not breathing. Oxygen may be given by
qualified personnel if necessary. Call a physician.
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for at least 15 minutes. Remove
contact lenses, if worn. Obtain medical attention.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water. If irritation persists or if
contact has been prolonged, obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: No harmful effects expected.
SECTION VIII-PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Accidental Release Measures
Small Spill: Small spills can be flushed with large amounts of water.
Large Spill: Larger spills should be absorbed and collected for disposal.
Personal Precautions: Wear suitable eye protection and clothing.
Environmental Precautions: Not toxic to fish or plants.
Handling and Storage
General Handling
Avoid breathing vapor from container opening. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Keep
container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Storage: Store above 4°C (40°F). Do not freeze.
