Flexible Leistungsbegrenzung
Die Sollwerte von Strom und Spannung justieren sich gegenseitig, um die
max. Leistung nach P = U * I nicht zu überschreiten. Das erlaubt, entweder
mit einer hohen Ausgangsspannung oder einem hohen Ausgangsstrom zu
arbeiten.
Schutzfunktionen
Neben einem Überspannungsschutz (OVP), der angeschlossene Verbrau-
cher vor zu hoher Spannung schützen soll, gibt es nun auch einen Über-
stromschutz. Dieser schaltet den Ausgang bei Erreichen einer von 0...110%
Nennstrom einstellbaren Schwelle ab und schützt die Last bei einem De-
fekt vor Überstrom und somit Zerstörung.
PC-Schnittstelle
Über eine serienmäßig eingebaute USB-Schnittstelle kann das Gerät über-
wacht und ferngesteuert werden, wahlweise über eine selbst erstellte Ap-
plikation (LabView-VIs sind verfügbar) oder über die mitgelieferte Win-
dows-Software „EA Power Control“.
Steuerungs- und Überwachungssoftware
Für Windows-PCs wird die Steuerungs-Software „EA Power Control“ mit-
geliefert, welche Fernsteuerung mehrerer gleicher oder unterschiedlicher
Geräte ermöglicht. Sie bietet eine übersichtliche Anzeige der Soll- und
Istwerte, sowie Direkteingabe von SCPI- und ModBus RTU-Befehlen, eine
Firmware-Update-Funktion und die halbautomatische Tabellensteuerung
„Sequencing“. Durch eine kostenpichtige Freischaltung werden weitere
Funktionen zugänglich:
Grafische Visualisierung des Ist- und Sollwertverlaufs
Multi Control - eine App mit der bis zu 20 Geräte gleichzeitig in einem
Fenster gesteuert werden können
Flexible power ranging
The set values of voltage and current adjust each other in order to maintain
the max. output power according to P = U * I.
This allows working with either high output voltage or with high output
current.
Protective features
Besides standard features, such as overvoltage protection (OVP), which are in-
tended to protect sensitive user applications against unwanted voltage peaks
or high voltage, the series now features an overcurrent protection with an ad-
justable threshold of 0...110% nominal current. It will protect a malfunction-
ing application from overcurrent by immediate output shutdown.
PC interface
The unit can be monitored and remotely controlled via the front USB port,
which is equipped as standard. The user can choose between programming
of a custom application (LabView VIs are available) or using the included
Windows software “EA Power Control”.
Control and monitoring software
Included with the devices is a control software for Windows PCs, which al-
lows for the remote control of multiple identical or even dierent types of
devices. It has a clear interface for all set and actual values, a direct input
mode for SCPI and ModBus RTU commands, a rmware update feature and
the semi-automatic table control named “Sequencing”. Further features
which can be unlocked by a purchasable license:
